Professional restringing labour typically costs £20-£30 per racket. By stringing yourself, you only pay for the string.
Secure the racket on the stringing machine at 6 or 12 points. Ensure it is firm but not overtightened to prevent warping specifically at the head and throat.
Measure ~40ft of string (or cut precisely if using hybrid). Start the Mains at the center loop (throat or head depending on racket) and tension outward symmetrically.
Tie off the mains. Start weaving crosses (Over-Under-Over). Pull cross strings through carefully to avoid friction burn. Tension each cross string individually.
Tie off the final cross string using a Parnell or Starting Knot. Trim excess string. Straighten the strings with a setting tool for a perfect finish.
